About Hot Desk

Hot Desk was established in 1990 by Philippa Hull when she re-located to her home town of Newmarket in Suffolk. She felt that the time was right to start her own business and that, with the wealth of experience and skills she had acquired from working with large organisations, she had a lot to offer!

Before then, Philippa lived and worked in London for many years as a producer of corporate conferences, product launches and events - in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. The industry was in its early days and was driven by creative and ambitious people from the advertising, entertainment and music industries. There were great opportunities for creativity, decision-making and the freedom to pioneer techniques as there were no 'rules'. In those days, we didn't go to college to learn how to do things, we just tried them! Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't but it was interesting finding out and, of course, we learned a lot on the way!

Philippa likes to develop on-going relationships with her clients, based on mutual trust and respect. She takes a genuine interest in their businesses and has a pro-active attitude, offering strategic input and solutions by anticipating requirements and meeting challenges. She also tries to ensure that working with her is enjoyable as well as being efficient!
